Bill has authored or co-authored articles for various seminars and publications (in business, intellectual property, Chinese mineral resources, environmental and patent laws). He has taught environmental, natural resources and business law for the Community College of Aurora (Colorado) (1991-94), the University of Denver Graduate Studies Program (1993), the University of Montana-Helena, and Montana Tech, respectively. Between 1996-1998 he organized and presented programs on mineral economic evaluation and mineral interest tenure before the Chinese Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources in Helena and Beijing.
Bill is a member of the Colorado and Montana Bar Associations and a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is an active member of Rocky Mountain
Mineral Law Foundation and Rotary International. He was a co-founder of the City of Helena International Affairs Council and is on the board of the Montana Center for International
Visitors, the Grant-Kohrs Ranch Foundation, and the University of Helena-Montana Foundation Board, as president. Currently, he is also president of the World Montana Board.
